I am having issues downloading any files over 20 - 30 Mb's. And it isn't my Wi-Fi or ISP or connection at fault. I tested the last download I had issues with on my pixel 3a XL phone using only my Wi-Fi connection to download.

the files on my phone, downloaded the files at or close to my full internet speed, 6Mbps. no issues what so ever. both my phone and my PC were within 3 Ft. of each other during the testing. both my PC and phone are connected to the same 5ghz Wireless network. Wi-Fi strength on both devices was rated at excellent [full bars] But on my PC windows 10 build failed network error when downloading large files after 30 seconds or so, the download status changes too "Couldn't Download - Network issue".

and it has done this on multiple file downloads, multiple times per file. But, the issue does failed network error when downloading large files occur when I am using Internet Explorer I am able to download it with out any issues.

I know there is an update for windows availible that takes the build to I am not sure if the issue would be fixed if I installed the patch. I looked up the KB, and it says it fixes connectivity issues for those using Proxies. I don't personally use a proxy, but I know my ISP uses a proxy somewhere in the line of getting my data from my house to the internet.

that particular issue has been a real thorn in my side, because the proxy they use is 9 out of 10 times has inferior speed to what I normally get. but that's a whole separate bucket of worms altogether If my ISP is the one using the proxy my ISP uses it to make more speed availible to their business customers during busy periods by shifting residential subscribers to the proxy connection. does the update still apply to me?
